Banking on Justice

Did you know your banking choices can help improve access to justice in Michigan? The Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program serves as a crucial source of funding for civil legal aid organizations throughout the state.

The Banking on Justice Campaign recognizes financial partners that pay significantly more interest on IOLTA accounts. These financial institutions go above and beyond the basic IOLTA requirements by waiving all fees and paying a minimum net yield of either .5% or 75% of the Federal Funds Target Rate, whichever is higher. Participating institutions earn Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) credits, support corporate social responsibility goals and attract new customers from the legal community.

Please consider opening an IOLTA account with or moving your current IOLTA account to one of the Banking on Justice participating institutions below.
