In 1984, a small group of Michigan lawyers had the vision to establish the Fellows of the Michigan State Bar Foundation, to recognize Michigan Lawyers for their professional excellence and service to community. Currently, there are over 1,500 lawyers and judges in the Fellows program.

The Michigan State Bar Foundation recognizes Michigan lawyers for their professional excellence and service to the community. The Fellows are an exclusive group of distinguished attorneys. Fellows embody the highest traditions of the legal profession, and their contributions support the important work of the Michigan State Bar Foundation.

The Fellows continue to make a difference in the administration of justice by supporting the programs of the Foundation. Fellows have contributed more than $2.2 million to support the Foundation’s mission since its inception.
