The Michigan State Bar Foundation hosted its annual Fellows Reception to mark another year of investing in access to justice. The reception was held at the CityFlats Hotel in Grand Rapids on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
The reception was preceded by a special orientation led by the chairperson of the Fellows, Hon. Victoria A. Roberts, to welcome the class of 2023 Fellows. During the reception, she thanked the Fellows present for their support and highlighted the honor of being a Fellow of the Foundation. She also shared the plans for the upcoming 40th Anniversary of the program which will be commemorated next year.
MSBF Board President, Craig Lubben, presented the 2023 Founders Award to Edward Pappas and the 2023 Access to Justice Award to Karen Tjapkes. Mr. Lubben shared a brief update about accomplishments from the past year.
The Foundation’s Fellows Officers and Board of Directors thanked everyone who attended and made the 2023 Fellows Reception a success.
